About This Spot

Stepping into Olive Coffee feels like finding a quiet little nook tucked away in the heart of Surfers Paradise—a cozy refuge where time slows just enough for genuine moments to unfold. The space, though modest in size, hums with a friendly and unpretentious energy that invites visitors to linger, whether they're grabbing a quick morning pick-me-up or settling in for a relaxed lunch.

The pace here is measured and calm, underlined by the rich aromas of freshly brewed coffee and toasted sourdough mingling softly with the sound of friendly chatter and the occasional hiss of the espresso machine. It’s the kind of place that welcomes both early risers craving a perfectly balanced long black and those seeking a leisurely mid-morning bite, pairing vibrant açai bowls or toasted croissants with mellow French vanilla lattes or crisp iced coffees.

Meals and drinks at Olive Coffee aren’t just about nourishment—they gently tell stories of fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. The toasties arrive with a sense of hearty satisfaction, generous without overwhelming, while the breakfast rolls and bowls nod to both classic and contemporary flavors, all served with a quiet confidence that speaks of a kitchen well attuned to its neighborhood.

Despite its smaller footprint, the atmosphere never feels cramped or rushed. Instead, it carries a familiar warmth found in places where the baristas recognize a regular’s usual and newcomers are met with welcoming smiles and patient, helpful recommendations. It’s this balance between intimacy and openness that makes Olive Coffee a spot worth returning to, a place where coffee lovers and casual diners alike find their moment of calm in the bustling stretch of Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

We only ordered drinks but will definitely come back as they have an all day breakfast menu. We arrived 10min before closing, so was pleased to discover that I could still order a coffee only needed to be in a takeaway cup. Coffee has a great flavour smooth and rich with no taste of bitterness. Mixed Berry smoothy was a decent size and very tasty. Even though the shop is small it has a nice atmosphere and outside seating is available.

Was staying nearby, stumbled upon the cafe while looking for breakfast options and was pleasantly surprised. The staff behind the counter were friendly and helpful. I ended up trying one of their chocolate croissants, which was quite good - flaky and buttery with a sweet, nutty filling. The choco smoothie was equally good, very rich in flavour but not overly sweet. The cafe had a welcoming atmosphere, and the employees seemed attentive to customers' needs. Overall, a nice spot to enjoy a tasty pastry. The staff were personable, and the baked goods were high quality. I'd be happy to return the next time I'm in the area.

Tried Olive Coffee this morning and loved it! I ordered the sourdough focaccia BLT — super delish, thin but just enough, and the flavours were perfectly balanced. My long black was smooth too, none of that overpowering bitterness or sourness. Such a good combo!

Coffee is amazing! And we hunt high and low when on holidays for the absolute best coffee. Olive Coffee did not disappoint! Hubby has an extra strong capp and tells me it was excellent! So if on holidays in Surfers do not walk past Olive Coffee if you are a true coffee lover, you won’t regret it

The toastie was very large and made with fresh ingredients. Overall quite standard. The staff were friendly and the location is convenient.

As a Surfers Paradise local, this charming little Cafe is a must visit for both locals and tourists alike. Strolling down on a Sunday morning, positive vibes, fantastic food and carefully crafted coffee (or hot chocolate in my case) awaits. I also purchased a brekky wrap which successfully satisfied my Sunday morning munchies! Offering both indoor and outdoor dining, this place is a hive of activity, particularly on weekends! Perfectly positioned about 30 metres from the Surfers Paradise tram station, accessibility is easy and convenient. Staff are warm and welcoming, ensuring a positive experience for all!

Lovely staff and fantastic food. The menu is slightly small, but the prices were really good. Service was quick, the coffee was very good, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go again.
